After his education as a business information scientist and Master of Advanced Studies in Information Security, he founded SIDLER Information Security GmbH in 2009. Since 2016 founder and partner of SASERA AG and since July 2019 founder and member of the board of directors at Swiss Business Protection AG. Previously, he worked at Bank Julius Baer as Security Officer in the USA and Zurich, and at Zurich Financial Services as European Security Consultancy Manager and Project Manager. From 2009 until the end of 2018, he worked part-time as deputy data protection officer for the canton of Lucerne.

Working as a freelance information security expert, business analyst, risk manager, security coach & consultant, lecturer at the University of Lucerne Faculty of Law in Switzerland and abroad, advising enterprise and SME companies on information security strategy (ISMS), data protection (GDPR), risk management and business continuity management (BCM) and conducting information security audits up to certification and awareness training as BSI Certified Lead Auditor ISO 27001.

His practical experience, which he has acquired in recent years, has been published in numerous publications and summarized in the Information Security Handbook for Practice. The founder enjoys a good reputation in the Swiss information security market.
